Jennifer Kayle/Kayle+Company

Jennifer Kayle (Iowa City, IA) is an Associate Professor at University of Iowa, choreographer and performance improviser. Commissions in 2011 include University of Utah, and 37 por las Tablas, in Santiago, D.R. With composer Burton Beerman, she presented “Flamingo” at Symphony Space, NYC, and at 31st International New Music Festival. In 2010, Kayle co-created “Virtually Yours,” with Charlotte Adams, on the poetry/politics of crossing the border, presented at Highways, Los Angeles, and El Centro Leon in Santiago, D.R. Other venues include a Joyce SoHo season in New York City (2008), and with Lisa Gonzales at Links Hall, Chicago, with Katherine Ferrier at The Body/Word Festival (2009), and The Architects at Iguan Dance Theatre and Dostoevsky Museum Theatre (2008), in St. Petersburg Russia.
