Perceptual Motion

Perceptual Motion, Inc. (Chicago, IL) is a dynamic intergenerational modern dance company directed by award-winning choreographer Lin Shook. Its mission is to transform the abstract imagery of dance into personal and meaningful experiences. PMI has performed at Ruth Page, Hamlin Park Theatre, Harold Washington Library, in Dance Chicago, The Coyote Festival, Millennium Park. It provides dance residencies, after-school programs and classes for people over 40.
Harvard Vallance studied with Shirley Mordine, Nana Shineflug, Joel Hall, and Victor Clottey. He founded The Kalamazoo African Dance Company, introducing West African dance and hip-hop to thousands throughout Southwestern Michigan. Lin and Harvard have collaborated since 2006.
