Eric Mullis

Eric Mullis (Charlotte, NC) is a dance artist who received an MFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. His current research interests include ecstatic states in charismatic Appalachian Pentecostalism and improvisation across artistic disciplines. Eric curates an independent performance series in Charlotte and has recently performed at the North Carolina Dance Festival, RADFest, the Richmond Dance Festival, the University of Malta, and he has published essays in academic journals such as Dance Research Journal, Performance Philosophy, the Journal of Aesthetic Education, Contemporary Aesthetics, and the Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism. ericmullis8.com
